  • by

HUNTERSVILLE, DECEMBER 1, 2023 – In a night of musical magic, the Cornelius Youth Orchestras hosted their Christmas Showcase that saw the Woodwind Ensemble, Junior Brass Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, Philharmonic, and Orchestra programs sharing the stage for the very first time. The event, which unfolded tonight at Lake Forest Church, left the audience filled with the festive spirit. Even Santa stopped by to enjoy the show!

Under the guidance of artistic faculty, Jen Bassett, Eric Boruff, Andrew Fierova and Samuel Sparrow, the talented young musicians seamlessly blended their skills to create a harmonious celebration of the season. From traditional holiday classics to modern renditions, the repertoire showcased the musicians’ versatility and commitment to delivering an unforgettable performance.

The Lake Norman community turned out in full force to witness this collaboration, filling the venue with an atmosphere of joy and festive cheer. Families, friends, and music enthusiasts alike were treated to a night of exceptional talent and artistic excellence. One of the highlights was the audience Christmas carol sing-a-long accompanied by the Orchestra.

As the curtain closed on this remarkable evening, the Cornelius Youth Orchestras organization looks forward to building on this success and continuing to inspire audiences with their music in the upcoming year.
